"Wood laminate in room was not ideal. Lots of stuff got on floor during stay, ended up on bottom of feet then got in the bed. No broom or dust pan provided. You could also hear every footstep from people in room above. Very loud late at night and early in morning. Carpet in hotel rooms is highly recommended. Needed extra toiletries. Not a problem getting them when asked for. Fridge and microwave in room was a great help."

"My dear friend from southern California and I met in Portland for a 4 day vacation and we chose The Heathman, due to its perfect location, historical character, excellent service and attention to detail. We were not disappointed. The only bummer was the fact the restaurant is under remodeling, and there is no room service or bar for the next few months but breakfast is served each morning. I love how quiet the building is and the professionalism of all, especially the valet staff. There are so many amazing restaurants within walking distance, our favorite being Dolly Olive just a few blocks away. Also close to Powells, the Pearl District, Rose & Japanese Gardens, Saturday Market, as well as shopping, theatre and the Portland Art Museum (just a block away). Great value. We can't wait to visit again."

However, Patricia and Lupita, who were not originally assigned to our room, stepped in immediately and thoroughly cleaned it and got us towels. Staff responded great to an unfortunate situation done by another worker failing to do their job well. Felt safe on property. They validate parking. Shuttle service was great."
